12-16-16 Journal Entry: You could call it a quiet year. We haven't been as busy as last year, but much work has been done behind the scenes. We are still working towards publishing a remake of the first CD with added tracks and music. Brethren, pray for us!
10-30-15 Important info: Regarding the second CD, there is some important info we would like for you to know. The first thing is that Samuel Cavin II., a special nephew of Elder Ron Cavin, was the first voice on the last track (Sin Can Never Enter There) of CD 2: "He's My Lord." Sam Sam enjoys preaching as inspired by his dearly departed uncle, and we were able to capture a fitting clip from a sermon.
Secondly, there is a not-so-distinct voice on that aforementioned track that belongs to Sister Adele Butler. She is saying, "It may be satisfying your flesh for a while, but it's not gratifying your soul!"
Lastly, the"He's My Lord" CD is in tribute to Elder Ron Cavin who passed away on October 18, 2014. Bro. Ron supported Connected and was going to record the song "He's My Lord" with us, but passed away before he could. We found a recording of the last time he sang the song and recorded our voices with his. Special thanks to Wesley Pritchard for making this happen!
8-31-15 Journal entry: We appreciate your prayers and support! We are still working toward completing our next project, including some newly written songs along with old favorites.
8-13-15 Thought for the day: These are truly the last days. Surely we can look around and see that. Our focus, however, should be inward, and on Christ. Remember, one day, we will stand before God individually, and if there is any disobedience, any sin in our lives of which we have not repented, we will be in eternal trouble. We will be judged by the Word, and our knowledge. Man can change laws, but God doesn't change. Granted ... this journal entry is a little heavy, but we believe it's necessary to remember. Keep the faith!
7-13-15 Journal entry: Thanks be to God for His help. We are continuing to work toward the republishing of the first CD (Connected). We are looking to add some original songs that God has given us. Hope you are keeping your eyes on Jesus ... so look up! Continue to pray for us, please.
6-15-15 Journal entry: Greetings all! We are currently working toward a republishing of our first CD (with additional tracks). We apologize to those who may have purchased a faulty copy -- the producer made an error that we didn't discover until too late. We will gladly exchange those faulty copies that were bought with the new CD once it is complete. With zeal, we look forward to completing our new project as soon as possible for your inspiration!
4-21-15 Journal Entry: Due to our trip to Ontario in November, Connected was invited to come to the northern California region. We arrived on Thursday in San Francisco and spent the day acclimating ourselves with the area. We stayed in the Palo Alto/Menlo Park region. On Friday, we ended up singing at a local mall in the afternoon, and that went fairly well. It's good to break the ice by renewing your boldness. Friday night, we sang at the church of God in Menlo Park, and Bro. Prince Moon preached. The reception was excellent!
On Saturday, the congregation from Ontario joined us as we sang at a Veterans care facility and Stanford University! These were awesome experiences with warm welcomes. That night and Sunday morning, we sang at the church of God in Menlo Park again, and Bro. Tony Washington preached. Sunday afternoon, we ventured to the San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge where we sang at the pier and a location close to the bridge. It was beautiful! Thank God for a fantastic trip, and we look forward to returning.
4-15-15: Exciting times! Connected thanks God for an amazingly awesome trip to Northern California this past weekend. Thank you for all your support and prayers, and we are grateful to have made new acquaintances on the west coast! Pictures and reflections coming soon ...
4-6-15 News: We are excited to announe the release of our second CD, entitled, "He's My Lord." The CD is tributed to our late pastor, Elder Ronald Cavin II. The cost of the new CD is $15, but all proceeds go to missions. The first CD, "Connected" now costs $10. We'll try to make them available online soon under our "Buy CDs" page. Other than that, we are looking forward to Cali this weekend. Pray for us, please!
